Follows are a great way to stay up-to-date on topics that you are particularly interested in. You may follow any region, country, or sector we cover. You may also choose to follow a search. Any time analysis is published that matches something you follow, it will be included in your daily Alert email (if this is turned on).

You can see a summary of what you are following and whether you receive alerts for it under account management in the Alerts and follows section

Following regions, countries, and sectors

To set up the regions, countries, and sectors you would like to follow, you can:

  • on any region, country or sector page, click the yellow follow/unfollow icon
  • visit your follows preferences and select the yellow follow icon next to the region(s) you are interested in.

Following searches

You can follow any search, which allows you to save and recall a search. This covers more complex alerting scenarios than simply following an individual country.

For example, if you are keenly following US/China relations, you could use simple search to construct a search returning results on United States, China and international relations, and receive alerts on it when something new is published.

To follow a search, simply make sure you are logged in, conduct your search. Then press the follow button on the results page and choose a name for your search.

To rerun or delete existing followed searches, manage your followed searches in the follows section of your account settings.
